Dear Dharma Friends

Imagine for a moment what it would be like to have a Dharma Centre here in Hawkes Bay – a place where we can hold regular weekly meditation sessions. A place where we could create a beautiful shrine room.

We could have a place where overseas Dharma teachers from various Buddhist traditions could visit and possibly stay for a while. A place where, one day, we may even have our own resident Dharma teacher.

Phuntsok Choeling would have a warm and welcoming feeling. A quiet room with a big comfortable sofa to sit while you a read Dharma books or listen to a teaching from the audio tape/CD selection. It would be place where you could find other people who are on the same path of Dharma study and meditation. It would be a valuable contact point for the community to touch the Buddha Dharma in Hawkes Bay . The zip, of course, would always be hot ready for a good cup of tea with a friend.

For many of us this is more than a dream, we want to make it a reality. We invite you to join us. With a generous contribution by Lama Choedak Rinpoche last June, a building fund has been established. We have also established a Charitable Trust with a governance structure. Many of us have started automatic fortnightly or monthly payments (according to what we are able to afford).

Enclosed is a form, which we would like you to consider filling in and returning to your bank or to Phuntsok Choeling. You can also consider setting up a regular payment up on your internet-banking (pay-anyone).

As a supporter you will receive regular updates of our progress, a consolidated receipt in April (for a tax rebate) and be notified of any event organised by Phuntsok Choeling.
